VETERAN OF THE WEEK: Rick Grantham

Rick enlisted in the United States Army in 1968, straight out of high school. He served in Vietnam, as a combat Medic, from 1969-1970. He was awarded two Purple Heart Medals, the Cross of Gallantry and the Bronze Star.  He served in the Army until 1977, in Germany, Georgia and Washington State. Upon discharge from the military, he used the medical training he learned in the military to become a paramedic, EMT and then a nurse. He ended his career, working for the California Department of Corrections as a Senior MTA. He has been a lifelong RAM fan, having gone to his first game with his Grandfather in 1959, at the LA Colliseum. He was a season ticket holder during the years in Anaheim and of course now that they have returned. While the team was  in St Louis, he attended several games a year as well as attending the London game in 2012. The only games that he ever missed (either attending, watching or listening) was the year he spent in Vietnam.
