Game Preview: Rams Host Packers in First Home Action

Posted Aug 14, 2013

The St. Louis Rams take the field at the Edward Jones Dome for the first time in 2013 as they host the Green Bay Packers on Saturday, Aug. 17. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Saturday’s game will be just the fourth preseason meeting between the Rams and Packers and the first since 1994 when the teams played in Madison, Wisc. The Rams and Packers have faced each other in each of the last two
seasons with Green Bay taking both of those games. St. Louis has faced Green Bay 93 times in the regular season, a series which dates back to the Rams’ inaugural season of 1937.

The Rams dropped their preseason opener last Thursday in Cleveland, but the 27-19 loss wasn’t without some impressive performances. Both WR Chris Givens and K Greg Zuerlein picked up where they left off last season. Givens caught three passes for 82 yards and a touchdown, while Zuerlein nailed a pair of field goals from beyond 50 yards.
