Game Preview: Rams To Celebrate Military Appreciation Game On Sunday When They Host Titans

ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis Rams will host the Tennessee Titans on Sunday at 12 p.m. The doors to the Edward Jones Dome will open at 10:30 a.m. A limited number of tickets remain, and can be purchased at, by calling 314-RAMS-TIX or at the Edward Jones Dome box office starting at 9 a.m. on Sunday. The game, which is sponsored by Boeing and USO of Missouri, will air on CBS-KMOV Channel 4 in St. Louis. The game will also be broadcast on 101 ESPN. Below are some of the highlights taking place:

Rams to Host Salute to Service Military Appreciation Game
In preparation for Sunday’s game, the Rams hosted military members and veterans for a private practice today at Rams Park. For Sunday’s game, the Rams in partnership with team sponsor Boeing have teamed up to provide 1,500 tickets to the USO of Missouri. The tickets were given to military members and their families.  The Rams also made additional tickets available at a special price for military and veterans. In addition, the Rams, Boeing and the USO are teaming up to launch the Home & Away Campaign in St. Louis – an effort to salute the military and veterans for their service and ongoing contributions.  Video salutes will be played during Sunday’s game.  Fans can also show support to those who serve by uploading a salute at

Sunday’s national anthem will be performed by retired United States Navy Officer Generald Wilson and the Boys Choir of Springfield will sign God Bless America. The colors will be presented by Lincoln University Army ROTC and local Boy Scouts will unfurl a large United States flag. During halftime, the Band of Mid America out of Scott Air Force Base will perform and military members in attendance will receive a special salute. The Rams will continue their traditional in-game Soldier Salute when they recognize a Wounded Warrior and allow the fans to join the team in thanking them for their service to our country.

Players will be honoring military branches of their choice by wearing helmet decals representing the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps and Navy. Also in attendance will be 200 members of Scott Air Force Base (SAFB), who received tickets from Scott Credit Union, when Head Coach Jeff Fisher took the entire team to SAFB for their final preseason practice earlier in the year. Following the game, cornerback Janoris Jenkins will participate in a special military appreciation post-game meet and greet.

Rams and Edward Jones Invite Fans to Thank Military through American Red Cross Holiday Mail for Heroes Campaign
Fans will be able to join the Rams and team partner Edward Jones in thanking our military by stopping to personalize a holiday card at one of seven American Red Cross Holiday Mail for Heroes card signing tables stationed in the Edward Jones Dome on Sunday. Holiday Mail for Heroes is an initiative to send personalized greeting cards to servicemen and women stationed overseas during the holiday season. Honorary chair and Rams defensive end Chris Long is featured on the holiday card. Card signing tables will be stationed outside of section 110, 138, 326, 354, 414, 440 and in the Bud Light Party Zone.

Rams to Wear Throwback Uniforms
The Rams will recognize their Super Bowl XXXIV victory over the Titans by sporting 1999-era throwback uniforms. The Rams defeated the Titans in Super Bowl XXXIV with a 23-16 victory.

Rams to Host Grammy-Nominated Country Superstar Billy Currington for Free Post-Game Concert
After the game concludes, country music superstar Billy Currington, known for songs including “Don’t,” “Good Directions,” “Let Me Down Easy,” “Must Be Doin’ Something Right,” “People Are Crazy,” “Pretty Good At Drinkin’ Beer” and “That’s How Country Boys Roll” will take the field of the Edward Jones Dome to perform a one-hour concert for Rams fans. The concert, presented by 93.7 The Bull, is free with a game ticket.

St. Louis Rams Official Bud Light Tailgate Party at Baer Park
The Bud Light Tailgate Party at Baer Park is located on Broadway directly across from the Edward Jones Dome. Every 2013 home game will feature one of St. Louis’ top bands beginning this Sunday at 9 a.m. when Missouri’s own, Angie Johnson takes the stage. Johnson appeared on NBC’s The Voice in 2012. Fans can also enjoy appearances from Rams Cheerleaders and reduced pricing on food and beverages as well as an interactive kids’ corner. 100 percent of proceeds from the Destination Dessert Truck stationed at Baer Park will benefit the Center for Head Injuries and Autism. Baer Park will also feature a mobile team store where Rams merchandise will be available for purchase, including NFL-approved all-clear Rams Tote bags.

The tailgate party will extend to the McGuire lot located north of the Edward Jones Dome and the Trailway’s lot located at Broadway and Lucas. Rams partners Russo’s Catering and Sub Zero will be offering on-site vending of their products at the McGuire lot and Trailway’s lot respectively and Bud Light Build A Bar will be offering reduced price beer specials at all three lots.
