Game Preview: Rams Visit Falcons in Week 2

Posted Sep 11, 2013

The St. Louis Rams hit the road for the first time in 2013 as they take their 1-0 record to Atlanta to face the Falcons at the Georgia Dome. Kickoff is scheduled for noon, Central time.

Sunday’s game will be the 76th all-time meeting between the Rams and Falcons, who were NFC West rivals and met twice annually from 1967-2001. The Rams hold a 47-26-2 advantage in the all-time series, although Atlanta has won the last two meetings. The last came in 2010 at the Edward Jones Dome. St. Louis visits the Georgia Dome Sunday for the first time since 2008.

A win Sunday would give St. Louis its first 2-0 start since 2001. The Rams won their opener last week thanks to big plays in the passing game and timely plays from their defense. DE Robert Quinn recorded three sacks and two forced fumbles to pace the defense, while TE Jared Cook caught seven passes for 141 yards and two touchdowns.
