Recently, Great Clips and the St. Louis Rams came together to help one player reach his goal of giving back to the community in a unique way. Sean Hooey, a first year offensive lineman from the University of Cincinnati decided two years ago while still in college to donate his hair to an organization called Locks of Love.

“The offensive line back at Cincinnati has a tradition to grow out their hair, and my friend and I decided that once it got time, we would have some good come out of it,” said Hooey.

Assisted by Great Clips special events stylist Krystle Coliny, Hooey cut ten inches off of his hair to meet the requirement for a donation to Locks of Love.

After the haircut, Hooey was excited and pleased with his new look. “It’s definitely going to take a while to get used to; I’m going to get some looks tomorrow in the locker room, but I like it a lot better.”Sean’s hair will be used as a donation to the nonprofit agency which provides hairpieces to underprivileged or disadvantaged children who suffer from medical conditions that cause hair loss. The event took place at the Mark Twain Village Great Clips in Saint Charles, Missouri.
