Aeneas Williams and the Rams host a PLAY 60 assembly at Koch Elementary.

The St. Louis Rams, with team partner Prairie Farms, recently hosted a PLAY 60 assembly at Koch Elementary in the Riverview Gardens School District to promote an active lifestyle and healthy eating choices.

St. Louis Rams linebacker Cameron Lynch, Rams Legends Community Member Aeneas Williams, Rams cheerleaders and team mascot Rampage were on hand for the event. Igniting the crowd, Lynch and Williams served as co-emcees for the PLAY 60 Challenge Game show, where students competed in physical challenges to accumulate the most points. From running in place, to jumping jacks, to a milk chugging contest, students engaged in 60 minutes of exercises and were taught the importance of being active, eating healthy foods and drinking milk.

“It was awesome to emcee with Aeneas, he has great energy,” Lynch said. “It was an awesome feeling to do a PLAY 60 event with a Hall of Famer and it was cool to have the kids dancing and having fun and learning why exercise is important.”

Following the games, Williams donated NFL Flag Football kits courtesy of the Rams, and Lynch, the cheerleaders and Rampage distributed foam mini footballs to students to remind them to PLAY 60 every day. Team partner Prairie Farms also donated 350 milk cartons to Koch Elementary.
