On October 5, 2016, the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is partnering with the Los Angeles Rams to host the first Taste of the NFL – Los Angeles Rams event at the Globe Theatre at Universal Studios Hollywood SM.
Los Angeles Rams current and alumni football players, cheerleaders and event co-chairs Rams General Manager Les Snead and his wife Kara Henderson Snead of the NFL Network will team with well-known LA chefs to raise awareness and funds to benefit the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. The Host Committee includes Stephanie and Josh Goldstine, President of Worldwide Marketing for Universal Pictures, and others committed to fighting hunger in our community.
“We are excited to partner with the LA Rams to fight hunger in Los Angeles County at the first Taste of the NFL-Los Angeles Rams event,” said Michael Flood, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. “It’s a great opportunity to welcome the Rams back home and showcase LA’s unique culinary talents while raising funds that will support the fight to end hunger.”
The fundraiser will feature many of the region’s finest restaurants and chefs including Josiah Citrin (Melisse); Tony Esnault (Church & State, Spring); Susan Feniger (Border Grill, Mud Hen Tavern); Neal Fraser (Redbird); Ray Garcia (Broken Spanish); Duff Goldman (Charm City Cakes); Dave Histed (Pavilions); Bruce Kalman (Union); Jessica Largey (Simone, opening late 2016); Mary Sue Milliken (Border Grill); Steve Samson (Sotto); Travis Strickland (Baltaire); and Benjamin Udave (Sysco).
“The concept behind Taste of the NFL is to combine people’s passion around football and food to create a fun environment that allows attendees to engage in the fight against hunger,” said Molly Higgins, vice president of community affairs and engagement, Los Angeles Rams. “Under Les and Kara’s leadership, Taste of the NFL has become an effective way for the Rams to utilize our players to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors who are dealing with food insecurity. We look forward to bringing this charitable tradition to Los Angeles.”
The event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. at the historic Globe Theatre at Universal Studios Hollywood SM located in Universal City. Tickets are available for $150.
