Rams Gear Up for Fan Appreciation Day Sunday

As the Rams take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to close out the home slate of the 2013 schedule on Sunday, the team will also be celebrating its fans with a bevy of promotions as part of Fan Appreciation Day at the Edward Jones Dome.

All fans in attendance will receive 50 percent off all team merchandise, and also half-price hot dogs and Dr. Pepper products during Sunday’s game. Additionally, all fans will receive a Rams scratch-off ticket upon entry, which will feature team prizes, a new addition to this year’s slate of end-of-season promotions.

The first 15,000 fans in attendance will also receive a Chris Long figurine, presented by Unequal Technologies.

“We wanted to reward fans’ loyalty for their tremendous support this year,” said Brian Killingsworth, Rams Vice President of Marketing and Brand Strategy. “This is the first year where we’ve had a program where every fan is a winner. Every fan that comes in will receive a scratch-off ticket where they can win prizes like game used jerseys, autograph memorabilia, Dave and Buster’s gift cards, and concessions discounts that they can redeem that day. It’s really our way of reaching out and thanking fans for their continued support.”

The 2013 season has been a banner year for Rams fans at the Edward Jones Dome, as the team has posted sellouts in each of its eight home games in 2013. In 42-21 win over the Chicago Bears on November 24, the crowd of 66,024 was the team’s highest in seven years. If maintained through the season finale, the Rams’ average attendance of 57,319 would be the team’s highest mark since 2008. The fan involvement has also coincided with improved success on the field in 2013. With a win on Sunday, the Rams would secure their first winning season at home since 2010.

“It’s really exciting to see our fans growing with us being the youngest team in the NFL,” Killingsworth said. “Fans see the promise and potential of this young team under the guidance of Coach (Jeff) Fisher, and they see the team really taking it to the next level. We wanted fans to come and really have one more great experience here this year and carry it into 2014.”
