- Saturday’s event marked the first time St. Louis’ three professional sports teams have united to host a health and resource fair for local children--

ST LOUIS---On Saturday, July 13, the St. Louis Rams, working in collaboration with the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Blues, held a Pro Sports Health Fair at the Millennium Student Center on the University of Missouri—St. Louis’ campus.  Approximately 1,500 under-served children from the St. Louis area participated in the health and resource fair. This was the first time that all three professional teams in St. Louis have come together for a back to school event.

“The Rams were proud to play a part in this unique collaborative effort to help prepare more than 1,500 students for the upcoming school year through the Pro Sports Health Fair,” said Molly Higgins, vice president of corporate communications/civic affairs, St. Louis Rams.  “From planning to execution, it was a great example of all three of our professional sports teams coming together and combining our unique assets and relationships to benefit children in need in our community.  The day was a meaningful reminder of the power of sports and collaboration.”

The Rams, Cardinals and Blues worked together to identify and extend invites to local non-profits and organizations serving kids in need. Those who attended the event received free asthma screenings, hearing screenings, dental check-ups, and helmet fittings, as well as information from local hospitals, libraries and organizations like the St. Louis Science Center, Big Brothers Big Sisters and The Magic House.

The interactive event featured team-branded inflatables and an opportunity for children to pose for photos with and request autographs from team mascots Rampage, Fred Bird and Louie. The St. Louis Rams Cheerleaders, Team Fred Bird and the Blue Crew also stopped by to meet the local children.  Other fun activities included the opportunity for kids to try on gear from the Rams and Blues.

Every kid in attendance left with a goodie bag filled with fan gear from each of the teams as well as a bag of school supplies donated by Office Essentials.
