Posted Mar 14, 2016

Originally drafted by the Rams in the sixth round of the 2010 draft, Sims will continue with the club on a three-year contract.

Originally a sixth-round pick by the Rams in 2010, defensive end Eugene Sims will continue his career with the club on a three-year deal. A key rotational piece at defensive end, Sims filled in admirably for the injured Robert Quinn through the second half of 2015. Sims finished the season with 45 total tackles, 1.5 sacks, 21 quarterback pressures, and seven quarterback hits. He also made an athletic interception during the second quarter of the Rams’ Week 17 matchup against the 49ers, returning the pick 42 yards.

In his six-year career, Sims has registered 184 total tackles, 9.5 sacks, and two interceptions.
