Earlier this month, the Los Angeles Rams joined the City of Inglewood to spread some Thanksgiving cheer at the third annual Turkey Giveaway. The Giveaway event, held on November 21st, featured rapper Snoop Dogg, who partnered with the City of Inglewood to create the first Turkey Giveaway event in 2014.

Rams front office staff, mascot Rampage and the Rams cheerleaders joined Snoop Dogg, Inglewood Mayor James T. Butts, Jr., city officials and various local businesses to hand out more than 1,500 frozen turkeys and food bags to the residents of Inglewood.

“From the minute the Rams have hit Inglewood, they’ve been involved. They’ve had sports events for the high schools, they’ve built playgrounds and now here they are today helping us feed families on Thanksgiving,” explained Butts. “We fed over 5,000 families today, so we just appreciate the Rams coming in and immediately becoming part of the Inglewood community and the community loves them.”

Last year, the Turkey Giveaway event fed close to 800 families in the Inglewood area. Through this collaboration, more than 5,000 families who reside in Inglewood received a frozen turkey and bag of food to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday.
