Posted Aug 12, 2014

Read all about the new mentality Kenny Britt has instilled amongst the Rams wideouts at St. Louis Rams Bud Light Training Camp presented by Dr Pepper.

Good morning, Rams fans. It’s Tuesday, August 8 and your favorite team has an open practice today at 5:30 p.m.
Here’s what you need to know to get your day going right.
It’s clear that wide receiver Kenny Britt could be an important piece of the Rams offense this season. Not only has his performance on the field been strong, but also head coach Jeff Fisher said he’s becoming a team leader.
“Kenny’s always had that type of personality,” Fisher said. “He loves the game He’s not afraid to voice his opinion and he’s pulling the young guys along with him. He practices one speed and that’s full.”
Britt started last week’s game against the Saints, and figures to get good time with quarterback Sam Bradford on Saturday against Green Bay.
Tight end Alex Bayer had five receptions for 71 yards on Friday, including a big 42-yard catch in the fourth quarter. The rookie out of Bowling Green led St. Louis in yards receiving in his first NFL action.
“Definitely wasn’t expecting that,” Bayer said in a one-on-one with our Casey Phillips. I was just fortunate enough to be in there when the play was going my way for the tight ends. All six of us that were out there, it could’ve happened to us. Lucky for me, it was me.”
Be sure to check out the rest of Bayer’s interview, where he talks about playing in his first game and what he’d like to improve this week.

Wide receiver Brian Quick said after Monday’s practice that he feels like he’s matured going into his third year in the NFL.
“Being in this offense three years, everything’s slowing up for me,” Quick said. “I just get better every day, and that’s what I’m doing right now, is growing.
“It’s always good fun, but it’s way better when you’re not thinking,” he added. “You’re just going out there and plying. You know exactly what you’re doing.”
