Wake Up Sprinting: Finally a Break

Posted Jul 30, 2014

After five days of grueling practice, the players have the day off before returning to the field on Thursday.

What day is it Rams fans? It’s hump day! Which unfortunately also happens to be a day off for the team.

Either way, get your football fix with yesterday's practice recap and find out how Lamarcus Joyner and Brian Quick made quite a statement during padded practice. The Rams will begin open practice again on Friday at 3:30 p.m. and of course Saturday’s #RamsFanFest scrimmage kicks off at 12:30. Don’t forget to register here if you want early access.

It’s not uncommon for defenses to come in with a slight advantage over the offense at the start of camp while terminology and play books are still being processed. But yesterday’s practice proved successful and spirited for the blue jerseys. So I caught up with Zac Stacy, not an easy thing to do (just ask the Titans), and Chris Givens, who wants you to know exactly what to call this year’s Rams receiving core.

Michael Sam spoke about his efforts to make the team, working with the veteran d-linemen and much more following yesterday's practice. You can see his full presser below.

Fans have made it clear through social media and page views that the helmet cam videos are a hit. Sam Bradford and Tre Mason donned the head wear in recent workouts, so make sure you stay tuned for those videos to take Monday morning quarterbacking to a whole new level.
