Casey Phillips previews the Rams first padded practice, reviews Kurt Warner's visit to St. Louis and relives our awesome helmet cam videos.

Happy Monday to you all and happy first day of padded training camp practice. It’s always exciting to see the team ramp up the speed and contact, plus these special teams practices give every guy an opportunity to make the roster. Today’s practice is closed to public, but practice opens up again on Wednesday with pads. Click here for the team’s entire training camp schedule.

The man, the myth, the legend Kurt Warner was on hand yesterday at Rams Park to the delight of the more than 2,200 fans. Those fans also had a chance to see him throw to Tavon Austin and Chris Givens after practice. You can hear Warner talk about those throws, the feeling stepping back on the Rams Park turf, and looking back on the Greatest Show on Turf in my one-on-one with him later today.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a fly on the wall for a conversation between Kurt Warner and Sam Bradford? Part of Kurt Warner’s day at Rams Camp was fulfilling his role as NFL Network analyst, which included the following one-on-one with the current Rams QB.

I hear fans all the time at camp saying, “I can’t believe how big he is,” or "I can’t believe how hard they hit!” The only way you could be any closer to the action is to be in the trenches with the players. Well guess what, now you can have that view too. We put helmet cams on Aaron Donald and Greg Robinson, and I think you’ll see why the Rams decided they were first round material.

Stay tuned for the latest on today’s practice and Kurt Warner’s return to St. Louis.
