Wake Up Sprinting: Starting a Short Week

Posted Aug 26, 2014

Casey Phillips has everything you need to know two days out from the Rams final preseason game in Miami.

The Rams are in the middle of a shortened week due to the game against Miami falling on Thursday on the road. As a result, the Rans only have two days of practice to prepare for the Miami Dolphins. Myles Simmons recaps yesterday's practice and the latest on Sam Bradford's status here.

Yesterday was the first day of roster cuts on the way from 90 down to the final 53. 10 players were released including Jarrid Bryant, Bobby Cowan, R.J. Dill, Jordan Harris, Jorgen Hus, Kadeem Jones, Johnny Millard, T.J. Moe, D.J. Morrell, and Pat Schiller, who was waived/injured. Keep en eye on and @StLouisRams on Twitter for the next four moves required by 3:00 p.m. CDT today to make the league's 75-man limit.

The running game is getting even more attention for the Rams now, so I caught up with Benny Cunningham to hear how his comfort level has increased with a year under his belt. I was also about to talk to a man who would be making a hole for Cunningham, when Joe Barksdale jumped in and said he wanted to take a crack at being a reporter. So here's Barksdale's hard hitting interview with Davin Joseph.

Don't forget to tune in to the Rams radio shows this week on 101 ESPN tonight, tomorrow night, and Friday night all at 6:00 p.m. central. Tonight, Michelle Smallmon and Myles Simmons break down individual performers from the Rams win in Cleveland in the weekly show "Playmakers."
