Community Player of the Week: Cameron Lynch

Posted Nov 19, 2015

The St. Louis Rams announced linebacker Cameron Lynch as the team’s Community Player of the Week for Week 11.

The St. Louis Rams announced linebacker Cameron Lynch as the team’s Community Player of the Week for week 11 in recognition of his community outreach efforts throughout the season.

“It feels awesome and I’m honored to be named community player of the week,” Lynch said. “Why not use our platform to go out and do something good for the community? I like it a lot.”

In October, Lynch participated in the 13th annual Taste of the NFL-St. Louis event, which helped St. Louis Area Foodbank raise money and awareness toward its mission to feed the hungry in the St. Louis region. The rookie cited the event as one of his favorites of the season.

“Taste of the NFL was pretty awesome,” Lynch said. “It was great people, great food, great music and a great cause.”

More recently, Lynch teamed up with the American Red Cross for the Rams Annual Blood Drive, where he spent time with fans donating blood.

“The Rams provide great opportunities to give back,” Lynch said. “It’s great to go out and make people’s days better by just being there. It also makes our day better because it’s something I look forward to every Thursday.”
