JARED GOFF RECEIVES QB RANKING
Mike Sando of espn.com released his '2018 Quarterback Tiers' on Tuesday. Sando's rankings are backed by a panel of 50 league insiders, including coordinators, head coaches, quarterback coaches, execs and others from around the league.
Rams' third-year QB Jared Goff is listed as a 'Tier Three' quarterback. According to Sando, a tier three quarterback "is a legitimate starter, but needs a heavier running game and/or defense to win. A lower-volume passing offense makes his job easier."

Goff is tabbed at No. 19 overall, receiving 14 votes toward the second tier and four for the fourth tier. However, one former GM thought higher of Goff:
"I'm going to step out here a little bit and say he's a 2," a former GM said, "because of the upside, because of the arm talent, because of how he bounced back from adversity. They gave him some weapons, but the majority of quarterbacks need them. He went through some stuff, he responded in the right way and I respect that in a quarterback."
