GOFF'S RANKING

NFL.com's Elliot Harrison put together his list of the top No. 1 overall picks of the common draft era, just ahead of next week's NFL Draft. His list dates back to when the AFC and NFC drafts merged in 1967, creating a field of 52 top candidates.

The Rams took quarterback Jared Goff No.1 overall in the 2016 draft. So where does he fall on Harrison's list?

No. 33 QB Jared Goff - "Goff more than displayed his long-term potential in 2017 by leading the Rams to the playoffs, or at least becoming a major part of the equation. He tossed 28 touchdown passes against just seven interceptions while pacing the entire league in yards per completion at a robust 12.9. In Year 3, Goff equaled that sterling yards-per-completion figure, threw for more yards and more touchdowns, completed a higher percentage of passes and helped lead the Rams to the Super Bowl. Two Rams moves carry huge weight in Goff's development: The hiring of head coach Sean McVay and the signing of left tackle Andrew Whitworth."

WIN-LOSS PREDICTION

Bleacher Report's Gary Davenport has his win-loss prediction for the 2019 Rams.

Davenport points out that the majority of L.A.'s tough games will come at home in year three under head coach Sean McVay, but that doesn't mean the club will reach last season's 13 wins.

"The schedule helped the team out a bit at least. In addition to two matchups with the Seahawks, the Rams face four more 2018 playoff teams this season—three at home. That sets up a Week 15 trip to Dallas for a playoff rematch with the Cowboys as a game that could have significant ramifications." Prediction: 10-6
