The undefeated Los Angeles Rams will once again take to the road in Week 9 for a meeting against the NFC South-leading New Orleans Saints. The battle of two of the NFC's best is set to kick off at 1:25 p.m. PDT from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.
Here's an early look at the New Orleans Saints (6-1):

Quarterback Drew Brees and the Saints offer the league's second-best offense in terms of points per game. The Saints are getting on the scoreboard thanks to a balanced attack led by second-year running back Alvin Kamara, who has nine touchdowns in 2018. Brees has not been picky in his 18th season, throwing 14 touchdown passes to eight different targets.

The New Orleans defense has been best at stopping the run this season, allowing a league-best 74.1 yards per game and 3.2 yards per attempt on the ground through seven games. The Saints are one of seven teams with just seven takeaways this season. New Orleans ranks 28th in the NFL in interceptions with just three picks.

In his 18th NFL season, Brees holds a professional record of 148-107-0, with the most passing yards in NFL history (72,435 yards), and 502 touchdowns, which is No. 4 all-time. Brees has also completed the most passes in NFL history (6,410). The 39-year-old is an 11-time Pro Bowler and led the Saints to a Super Bowl XLIV title, in which he earned MVP honors.
Brees is 3-5 in his career against the Rams.
• W 30-20 vs. Minnesota
The Saints' Week 8 win over the Vikings featured an incredibly accurate Brees and a versatile offensive attack in Kamara. Brees connected on 18-of-23 passing attempts (78 percent), which included a touchdown connection with Kamara, who also had a touchdown on the ground in Minneapolis. The Saints defense was the difference maker in the second half. Cornerback P.J. Williams' third quarter pick-six put the Saints up two touchdowns, and from there it was never close.
The Saints are led by 12th-year head coach Sean Payton. Payton is 111-72 (.607) at the helm in New Orleans. Payton has taken the Saints to the playoffs six times as the team's head coach. He has one championship in that time, leading the Saints past the Colts in Super Bowl XLIV.
