ATLANTA, Ga. — Third-year safety Blake Countess’ status was changed from did not participate to limited in the Rams’ Thursday injury report.
Countess, who, along with kicker Greg Zuerlein has dealt with a foot issue since the NFC Championship win in New Orleans was active in the Rams outdoor practice at the Atlanta Falcons’ facility outside of Atlanta.
“For him to get out here and get some movement, again, that was kind of on par with as far as how we anticipated this thing going with Blake when he ended up hurting that foot a couple of weeks ago,” McVay told pool reporter Charean Williams.
McVay also told Williams that things seem to be on track with Zuerlein, and that the kicker is “feeling good” with plans to kick soon.
“The plan along has been for tomorrow —we are right on track,” McVay said.
About one hour down I-85, New England’s Thursday injury report grew with addition of linebacker Dont’a Hightower, who did not participate in the walk-thru practice due to illness. The former Pro Bowler and two-time world champion joins defensive tackle Malcom Brown on the report, however Brown did fully participate on the campus of Georgia Tech.
Head coach Bill Belichick told Patriots pool reporter Jenny Vrentas that Hightower will be evaluated on Friday when asked of his status.
