Rams Power Rankings: Week 4

The Rams will be on the road once again in Week 4 to take on the Cowboys in Dallas. Los Angeles is coming off of a strong win over the 49ers on Thursday Night Football and is ready to continue that momentum moving forward.

Every week, TheRams.com will be taking an aggregate look at where the team ranks in different outlets across the sports media landscape. Here are the power rankings for the Rams heading into Week 4:

"The Rams delivered on Thursday in what might be the game of the year thus far. The offense looks completely different from how it did last year, in the best possible interpretation of that phrase. The defense under coordinator Wade Phillips might take a bit more time to gel -- usually, a new offense is slower to develop than a new D, but not in this case. Meanwhile, the nice start for this franchise is not an aberration -- unlike last year's 3-1 record, which was smoke, mirrors and a bushy mustache."

Last Week: 22

Change: +6

"Jared Goff: 68.5 Total QBR. Goff is averaging a league-best 10.1 yards per attempt this season, and he also has the fourth-best Total QBR. He ranked last in both in 2016. The new Rams offense will have some tougher challenges coming up though, with games against the Cowboys, Seahawks and surprising Jaguars."

Last Week: 20

Change: +4

"Given the way the Seahawks have played, it might not be crazy to think the Rams could win the NFC West. The offense is much better and there's a lot of talent on defense. Coaching matters."

Last Week: 22

Change: +10

"Coach Sean McVay already is working wonders with Jared Goff, who looks like a franchise QB-in-the-making three games into his second season. Goff was not capable last season of a performance like he gave in Thursday night's surprisingly captivating victory over the Niners. Maybe the Rams are legitimate. Maybe they're not. But the continued development of Goff under McVay's tutelage would be enough to make this season highly productive, regardless of the final record."

Last Week: 19

Change: +7

"After a scintillating three-TD game Thursday night, we'd say Todd Gurley is all the way back. And it sure seems Jared Goff has definitely arrived."
