Rams Promote Carlos Thompson, Waive Ejuan Price

With Connor Barwin out due to a forearm injury, Los Angeles has made a roster move to bolster its depth at outside linebacker for the Week 13 matchup with Arizona.

The Rams have promoted outside linebacker Carlos Thompson from their practice squad and waived outside linebacker Ejuan Price.

Listed at 6-foot-5 and 250 pounds, Thompson signed with the Rams just prior to the start of the offseason program and was on the active roster through training camp. While he was waived when the club reduced its roster to 53 players, Thompson was signed to Los Angeles' practice squad and has been there ever since.

Head coach Sean McVay said this week Samson Ebukam will start in Barwin's place at outside linebacker. With his promotion, Thompson could be a part of the Rams' defensive rotation and play a role on special teams on Sunday.

Before signing with the Rams, Thompson spent the 2015 season and 2016 offseason program with the Texans. The outside linebacker signed with Houston as an undrafted free agent out of Ole Miss. Thompson played in two games backing 2015, making a pair of tackles.

A 2017 seventh-round pick out of Pitt, Price appeared in the Week 10 victory over the Texans, seeing action on special teams.

The Rams will travel to Arizona on Saturday afternoon, following the club's walk-thru.
