Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors
We are excited to continue our partnership with T.A.P.S again this year and provide an unforgettable experience for the families of 22 fallen service members. On the Saturday before the game, the family members were invited out to enjoy practice and get a chance to meet the player that is wearing the initials of their loved one on the back of their helmet during the game. The players will also have the chance present a personalized helmet to the family members. The Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) offers compassionate care to all those grieving the loss of a loved one who died while serving in our Armed Forces or as a result of his or her service. Since 1994, TAPS has provided comfort and hope 24/7 through a national peer support network and connection to grief resources, all at no cost to surviving families and loved ones.
