Biography

What was your favorite academic subject growing up? English

If you could make one change in the world, what would it be? If I could make one change in the world I would make the arts seen as a more respectable career. I've seen so many young artists discouraged from pursuing their dreams because being involved in the arts as a profession isn't necessarily admirable in our society, when they work just as hard as the next. Our world revolves around entertainment and those dancers, singers, actors, musicians, and artists who bring that entertainment to us deserve to be recognized. There's so much talent out in this world and if we nurture it we will further encourage the next generation to pursue their goals without hesitation.

Who is your biggest fan? My family! They've made me feel so loved and supported it's given me the confidence my whole life to pursue my dreams!

Do pineapples belong on pizza? ABSOLUTELY NOT!

What's next on your bucket list? To go island hopping at the Fiji Islands!

Most adventurous thing you've ever done in your life? Traveling to London as a senior in high school with the National Cheer Association. My parents didn't come with me so I explored London all on my own! That trip made me fall in love with traveling and I can't wait to explore more of the world!

Describe your dream vacation. Staying at the Giraffe Manor in Nairobi Kenya!

How did you get your start dancing? My mom enrolled me in baton classes at 3 years old and I've been dancing ever since!

Most embarrassing dance memory? At our dance concert this past fall at UNLV I was wearing a long skirt. Of course, I stepped on it and RIPPED a huge piece off the backside of the skirt! So I tried to hide it and throw the ripped piece of fabric off stage, but my toss wasn't enough and the piece landed on a prop tree we had on stage. As if all this wasn't enough, I had to dance the entire finale in the front row with only half a skirt on! I had shorts under thankfully, but I'm sure the audience was confused!

Your go-to karaoke song? It's not really a karaoke song but I'd sing Dior by Pop Smoke any day!

What is your guilty pleasure? Buttercake from California Pizza Kitchen! (Thank me later)

How would your best friend describe you? Energetic, funny, diverse, hard working, and charismatic!

Coffee or tea? Tea - specifically Guava White Iced Tea from Starbucks (:

Favorite thing about Los Angeles? EVERYTHING! Los Angeles is one of the few places I've been to that has such a mixture of cultures but it all blends so beautifully together. There's always something new to do and it's just so invigorating to be in a fast paced, goal driven, and culturally diverse environment. There's no place like LA!

Favorite charity or cause that you love to support? I love supporting small, local, and black owned businesses. Knowing my money is going to support a person doing what they love has always made me feel better about my purchases and since I'm currently in the process of starting my own small business I understand how crucial it is to support one another. The larger the company doesn't always guarantee a better product, and shopping small helps owners not only pay bills, but support their families. All in all you can't go wrong shopping small!

Advice to your younger self? Don't stress yourself out over situations you have no control over! Things will ALWAYS work out in the end even if it seems like it won't. Just stay true to yourself, work hard, and have faith. Everything will fall into place!

What would it mean to you to be a Rams cheerleader? To me it would be an absolute blessing, but it's bigger than myself. Young dancers in my hometown look up to me as I'm one of the few who have moved away from home and really pursued a dance career. Being a Rams cheerleader would show those young dancers that it is possible to make your dreams come true no matter your situation. My family are all Rams fans and I've always dreamt to cheer for a professional team and to do it for my absolute favorite NFL team with the next generation of dancers looking up to me would make it a dream come true!
