Meet Kimberly

Kimberly Cantor is the Vice President of Partnership Management for the Los Angeles Rams. That means she leads a team of 20 people who work with more than 100 different brands, from Google and YouTube to Verizon and SoFi, to bring big ideas to life at SoFi Stadium. Whether it's creating fan experiences, building sponsorship activations, or helping partners connect with the community, Kimberly's job is all about making sure those relationships thrive.

Her career superpower is helping people see the best version of themselves and making sure that light never gets dimmed. After more than 20 years in sports and entertainment, she still genuinely loves what she does every single day.

Path After High School

Kimberly took an adventurous path: two years at Santa Barbara City College, then three more years finishing her studies at the University of Hawaii. That move across the Pacific was a lesson in daring to be different. It taught her to trust her own choices, even if they went against the grain.

That mindset, being willing to step outside the usual path and embrace the unknown, prepared her for a career in sports and entertainment. After working for a decade in sponsorships and even taking a year-long sabbatical to travel Asia, Kimberly returned to the industry with a fresh perspective. Those experiences gave her the resilience and creativity she needed to eventually step into her current role as Vice President of Partnership Management for the Rams.

Fuel for Success

Kimberly carries a few simple but powerful mottos that guide her work every day:

  • "Be the reason someone smiles."
  • "Help brighten someone's light. Don't ever dim it."
  • "Be yourself. Everyone else is already taken."

These phrases remind her to stay true to herself, lift up those around her, and bring positivity into every partnership she leads. For students, that can mean finding a phrase that inspires you and keeping it close. Write it on a notebook, use it as your phone background, or repeat it before a big challenge. Small reminders like these can help you stay grounded and focused on what matters most.

STEAM in Action

  • Technology: Kimberly manages partnerships with some of the most innovative companies in the world, like Google, SoFi and Verizon all within one of the most technologically advanced stadiums ever built. Tech touches nearly everything she does, from digital activations to event experiences.
  • Arts: She builds proposals and recap decks that use design, photography, and storytelling to make ideas come alive. Arts also show up in the way she helps brands connect with fans through powerful emotional moments.
  • Math: A big part of Kimberly's job is managing a multi-million-dollar sponsorship portfolio. That means keeping track of budgets, revenue, and expenses down to the last detail.

The Best Part of Kimberly's Job

Kimberly loves representing the most valuable sports empire in the world while leading a "dream team" of 20 colleagues. She gets to collaborate with over 100 iconic brands and be part of massive events like FIFA 2026, Super Bowl 2027, LA28, WrestleMania, and more. She thrives on pushing boundaries and setting the tone for the industry.

Kimberly's Advice for Students

  • Rejection is just redirection. "No" often means "not right now."
  • Don't give up on yourself, or others might.
  • Find the harmony that keeps you excited and challenged every day.

Kimberly's words are a reminder that the road to your dream job isn't always smooth or easy. Think about a time you faced a setback. What did you learn from it, and how did you keep moving forward? Her story shows that persistence, passion, and perspective can turn challenges into stepping-stones.
