Matthew Stafford named finalist for Associated Press 2025 NFL MVP Award

Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has been named a finalist for the Associated Press' 2025 NFL MVP Award, the organization announced Thursday morning.

The four other finalists for the award include Bills quarterback Josh Allen, Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence, Patriots quarterback Drake Maye and 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey.

The winner of the AP 2025 NFL MVP, as well as the rest of the AP award winners, will be announced at NFL Honors on Thursday, February 5.

Stafford led the league with 4,707 passing yards and 46 passing touchdowns against just eight interceptions in the 2025 regular season. His post-season awards so far have included being voted First-Team All Pro by the AP, the Pro Football Writers of America's NFL MVP and being named to the PFWA's All-NFL team.
