The Rams used a punishing ground attack to defeat the Broncos on Sunday, 23-20. With injuries suffered at multiple positions across the offensive unit, L.A. had some shifts in the snap count numbers in Week 6. Here's a look at the reps across offense, defense, and special teams.
OFFENSE
— Four players were on the field for all 74 snaps: right guard Austin Blythe, right tackle Rob Havenstein, quarterback Jared Goff, and center John Sullivan.
— Blythe played two positions on Sunday, starting at right guard but then moving over to left guard when Rodger Saffold had to exit the game with a knee injury. Saffold played 57 snaps (77 percent). Jamon Brown came in to replace Saffold, playing 17 snaps (23 percent) at right guard.
— Left tackle Andrew Whitworth missed five plays in the second half and ended up playing 69 snaps (93 percent). Rookie Joe Noteboom replaced him for those five plays.
— Running back Todd Gurley made the most of his 58 snaps (78 percent), taking 28 carries for 208 yards in high altitude. He also caught a pair of passes for 17 yards.
— At wide receiver, Robert Woods (72 snaps/97 percent) had the most reps, and led the team with seven receptions for 109 yards. Brandin Cooks (68 snaps/92 percent) came in second on that list.
— Wide receiver Cooper Kupp suffered a knee injury in the second quarter and ended up playing 28 snaps (38 percent). He was able to re-enter the game in the second half to play the first drive, but was held out after that for precautionary reasons.
— With Kupp out, Josh Reynolds once again played a heavy amount of snaps. He was in for 46 plays (62 percent).
— At tight end, Tyler Higbee played 55 snaps (74 percent) and Gerald Everett played 21 snaps (28 percent). Johnny Mundt also played a pair of snaps (three percent).
DEFNESE
— Four players were not the field for each of Los Angeles' 66 defensive snaps: linebacker Cory Littleton, safety Lamarcus Joyner, safety John Johnson, and cornerback Marcus Peters.
— Aside from those four, defensive linemen Aaron Donald (60 snaps/91 percent) and Ndamukong Suh (58 snaps/88 percent) were on the field the most for Los Angeles on Sunday.
— In his second game of the season, inside linebacker Mark Barron played 40 snaps (61 percent).
— At outside linebacker, Samson Ebukam (55 snaps/83 percent) played the most, recording a pair of tackles and a forced fumble. Matt Longacre (23 snaps/35 percent), and rookie Justin Lawler (12 snaps/18 percent) also contributed at that position.
— The Rams' cornerback rotation opposite Peters included Troy Hill (40 snaps/61 percent) and Sam Shields (26 snaps/39 percent). L.A. also used Nickell Robey-Coleman for 34 snaps (52 percent) as a slot corner.
SPECIAL TEAMS
— Linebacker Bryce Hager and safety Blake Countess were on the field the most for Los Angeles' special teams unit with 22 snaps (79 percent).
— Playing his first game back after suffering a hand injury in Week 3, JoJo Natson played five snaps, returning punts.
— Punter Johnny Hekker was on the field nine times, having to punt a season-high three times on Sunday.
