Served in the Marine Corps at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point with the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing. Marnisha was responsible for keeping track of all the Marine Corps' aircraft on the east coast and ensuring their technical and repair manuals were up to date. After an Honorable discharge from the Corps in 2001, she relocated to Virginia where she earned both her Associate and Bachelor degrees in Business, with the help of the G.I. Bill. She worked in education as a teacher and teacher assistant for grades K through adult for ten years. On April 18, 2016, Marnisha donated her kidney and became a living kidney donor. She counts it a blessing to be a blessing to be able to give someone life through her donation. She relocated to Los Angeles in June of 2016, where she is a candidate for her Masters degree in Business Administration. In January of 2017, she became a member of the Kidney Advocacy Committee and was assigned a special assignment to the Social Network sub committee in April of 2018. She is currently pursuing a career in voice over work and is a member of Veterans in Media and Entertainment. She also serves as a proud member of the National Association of Black Military Women, The Mission Continues, the National Black Master of Business Administration Association, The Society for the Advancement of Management, The National Council of Negro Women, Alpha Beta Gamma Honor Society, Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. and the Women Marine Association.
