Billy Johnson is in his 12th season with the Rams and his first as a senior scouting executive.

He spent the previous nine seasons as an area scout primarily responsible for the Southeast region, as well as Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee and Kentucky.

He spent the previous nine seasons as an area scout primarily responsible for the Southeast region, as well as Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee and Kentucky.

Johnson joined the Rams as an intern in the personnel department before being promoted to senior scouting assistant in 2015.

Prior to joining the Rams, Johnson began his collegiate playing career at the University of Georgia where served as a long snapper. After completing his undergraduate degree, Johnson transferred to Tulane University to begin working on his master's.

Johnson played for the Green Wave football team during his one season in New Orleans, earning First-Team All-Conference honors.

A native of Buford, Ga., Johnson is the son of long-time NFL assistant Bill Johnson, who spent time as the Rams defensive line coach after an eight-season stint in the same capacity with the New Orleans Saints.

Johnson and his wife, Chelsea, got married in June 2019 and reside in Nashville, Tenn.
