Young is entering his 10th NFL season and his sixth with the Los Angeles Rams.

The 2025 campaign will mark his first as a Pro Scout after spending the previous five seasons as a scouting apprentice (2020-24) assisting with U.S. regions including north, northeast, Midwest and west.

Young also spent time as a fellow with the New York Jets (2018) and played linebacker for the Arizona Cardinals for three seasons (2001-03) as an undrafted free agent.

Young began his scouting career as a Midwest scout for the Reese's Senior Bowl in 2019, where he was responsible for scouting portions of the midlands and southeast. He became the first NFL player to scout for the Senior Bowl as a regional scout covering the Midland areas.

Young is a Scouting Academy alumnus and served as a football operations assistant and recruiting analyst at Lindenwood University for two seasons from 2017-19.

He played collegiately at Illinois where he was a four-year starter, team captain and Butkus Award candidate.
