Taylor Morton embarks on his 27th NFL season in 2026 and his 15th with the Rams.
Morton was elevated to Senior Personnel Executive and Chief of College Scouting Staff during the 2025 offseason after serving eight seasons as a Senior Player Personnel Executive.
He also spent time as the Director of Player Personnel for four seasons and originally joined the Rams in St. Louis as Director of College Scouting in 2012. Morton is involved in the Rams collegiate scouting efforts and evaluates the top talent in the country. His efforts and experience have contributed to the Rams becoming a playoff team the last seven out of nine seasons, NFC Champions in 2018 and Super Bowl Champions in 2021.
Morton came to the Rams from the Atlanta Falcons where he served 12 years in the player personnel department. He was responsible for scouting the Southeast for seven seasons and the Southwest, West, and Midwest respectively for the club.
Prior to becoming a college scout, Morton served in the pro personnel department as an advance scout working with the Falcons' coaches and scouting their opponents, as well as evaluating future free agent prospects for the team.
Taylor joined the Falcons after coaching eight years in the college ranks. His stints included Auburn University, Hinds Community College and Pearl River Community College. He began his coaching career at the University of Southern Mississippi, as a student intern earning both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Sports Management/Coaching and Sports Administration. Taylor is a native of the Destin, Florida area where he attended Niceville High School and was a member of the 1988 4A State Championship football team.
He and his wife, Carissa, have two sons, Thomas(wife Alex), Josh(wife Ally) and one granddaughter Romee. Thomas is currently the Assistant TE's coach at Ohio State University.
The Morton family resides in Bluewater Bay, Florida. Taylor and Carissa are active in their community with FCA and local youth sports through the All Sports Association.
