Congratulations to our July Season Ticket Member of the Month, Anthony Porras! Anthony has been a Season Ticket Member since the team returned to LA in 2016 but has been a fan of the team since he was 8 years old. One of his favorite Rams memories is watching the Rams beat the Minnesota Vikings on a fake field goal that Nolan Cromwell ran in to score and win the game. How long have you been a Rams STM?
I decided that if the Rams ever came back to L.A., I wouldn't pass up the opportunity to buy season tickets. I've been a Rams Season Ticket member since 2016.
Share your story on how you became a Rams Fan.
I was only 8 years old when my dad took me to my first game to watch the Rams play against the Cowboys in the Los Angeles Times Charity game. I was hooked!
What is your favorite Rams memory?
One of my favorite memories is when the Rams beat the Minnesota Vikings on a fake field goal that Nolan Cromwell ran in to score and won the game. If you know the history you know why, but the one memory that'll top it all off was a once in a lifetime opportunity. The Rams beat the 49ers in the NFC Championship game, and they were going to play in Super Bowl LVI against the Bengals at home in Sofi Stadium. My wife and I decided to buy tickets to go. You just don't pass that up, to experience it and watch them play in their own stadium and win it all was one for the ages.
What does being a Rams fan mean to you?
It means being loyal to the team through thick and thin. I followed them when they were in Los Angeles at the Coliseum, when they were in Anaheim, through the move to St. Louis and finally when they came back home to L.A. It's the countless number of Rams fans you meet throughout the games. attending games with family and friends to experience with them the love you have for your team and the game of football. It's the equivalent of all the emotions of riding a rollercoaster in a season but still jumping back on to watching them play another year cheering them on.
Who is your favorite Rams player past or present? Why?
Roman Gabriel, Quarterback #18, he played with no fear when he scrambled out of the pocket. One of the instances was when he took on Dave Butkus one of the most feared defenders at the time head on. He played football with a passion.
