Congratulations to our October Season Ticket Member of the Month, Dr. Leyanna Richard-Bond! Leyanna has been a Rams fan her whole life but became a Season Ticket Member in 2019. Her favorite Rams memory is when the Rams returned home and she went to a game at the Coliseum where she was able to meet her favorite player, Todd Gurley. When did you become a Rams Season Ticket Member?
I became a STM before the stadium was finished in 2019. But I have been a RAMS fan my entire life.
Share your story on how you became a Rams Fan.
My father believed you should only cheer for the teams from the city in which you live. He only cheered for LA teams. When the RAMS were here, they were his team. He only allowed my brother and I to be Rams fans growing up. When that other team came to LA, he continued to be a Rams fan. Well, he died in 2014. But my brother and I continued to be Rams fans. When they came back to LA it was only befitting for me to become a season ticket holder and renew my fandom to the Los Angeles Rams!
What is your favorite Rams memory?
I remember when they came back home. We went to a game at the Coliseum. I don't remember exactly how I was able to get close to Todd Gurley but I was able to tell him that he was my fave player and that I had been a Rams fan my whole life. He was so nice and a gentleman. He hugged me and thanked me for believing in him. WOW..."believing in him!" that's big!
What does being a Rams fan mean to you?
I hope I make my father proud. I am happy to always represent my city. I am glad that even though he is gone, we still have a connection with football. My brother and I try to always watch at least one game together with his favorite snacks and drinks to celebrate the most amazing day. I am proud to say I have only been a Rams fan my entire life and now that they are HOME I can scream loud and proud WHOSE HOUSE...RAMS HOUSE!!!
Who is your favorite Rams player past or present? Why?
1st TG3 is the MAN!! He was so approachable and nice. I love celebrities that take time to talk to their fans and actually show their human side. 2nd I LOVED Robert Woods. He is from Gardena Ca. so am I. He went to USC and so did I! He is a hometown boy from the same neighborhood as me! Fight on!! When he played for the Rams, he was a great wide receiver. I was sad when he was traded.
