September 2025 STM of the Month: Skye Sverdlin

SEP25-stm-of the month-16x9

Congratulations to our September Season Ticket Member of the Month, Skye Sverdlin! Skye had season tickets in the 90's before the team moved to St Louis and got them again when the team returned to LA in 2016. His Rams fandom began in childhood when Eric Dickerson bused him and a group of other kids down to a preseason game against the Seahawks as part of his anti-drug program, The Dickerson Rangers. Skye's favorite Rams memory is beating the 49ers in the NFC Championship game, and his favorite Rams player is Kevin Greene. Learn more about Skye below!

When did you become a Rams Season Ticket Member?

I had season tickets in the 90s and then again when the Rams returned to LA in 2016-present

Share your story on how you became a Rams Fan.

I became a fan when Eric Dickerson bussed a bunch of us kids from Venice down to a preseason game against the Seahawks as part of his anti-drug program, The Dickerson Rangers. I was really impressed by the way the Rams helmets popped under the lights, and still remember the giveaways that night, a calendar, and a Rams painter hat- I was hooked. After that I did whatever it took to get to Anaheim from Venice on Sundays: taking the bus, buying my mom a ticket, and eventually hitching rides in the back of the Melonheads trucks, under the condition that I too rocked a melon! I stuck with the team through the St Louis era and met lots of other Rams fans at Booster Clubs in the area, and eventually helped rally SoCal Rams fans at the Bring Back The LA Rams rallies...which leads us to the present era and a dream come true. Now the Rams are back and are a 15 minute bike ride from my house!

What is your favorite Rams memory?

It's gotta be beating the Niners in the NFC Championship game. I had previously been haunted by our 1989 NFC Championship loss in San Francisco, so it was it was glorious, and half my section at SoFi was welling up.

What does being a Rams fan mean to you?

Repping the most stylish colors in the NFL as well a really rich history. It's great to see so much of the city out enjoying Sundays together before, during, and after games.

Who is your favorite Rams player past or present? Why?

There's so many greats, but probably Kevin Greene because he did his thing when I became a fan as a kid. He played with such a motor and really seemed like Hulk Hogan in horns. I still remember when the Saints were trying to take a knee and run out the clock, Kevin Greene leaped over the line onto Bobby Herbert's back. He just wouldn't stop. Plus, he was always really cool to the fans in the end zone at Anaheim Stadium and even stopped by the tailgate parties after the games. RIP Kevin Greene.

Is there anything else you would like us to know?

In addition to being a really loud enthusiastic fan, I have also written about and followed the team for SB Nation and Rams Talk (as well as podcasted). I teach 4th Grade and had the Rams visit my school through the Play 60 Program. I always bring the party with me on Sundays when I arrive at SoFi on my bike with music pumping out of my speaker in the basket, no better way to show up.

Go Rams!
