Torry Holt named finalist for Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2026

Former Rams wide receiver Torry Holt is one of 15 modern-era player finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2026, the hall of fame announced Thursday.

It is Holt's seventh-straight year as a finalist. He is one of three modern-era wide receiver finalists for the Class of 2026, alongside Larry Fitzgerald and Reggie Wayne.

Holt registered 920 career receptions for 13,382 yards and 74 touchdowns in 11 NFL seasons, 10 of which he played with the Rams. That decade with the Rams included eight-straight seasons of 80 or more catches and 1,000 or more receiving yards, highlighted an Associated Press First Team All-Pro 2023 season that featured a career-high 117 catches for 1,696 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Additionally, he posted an NFL-record 1,300 or more receiving yards across six-straight seasons from 2000-2005.

Holt also garnered Second Team All-Pro Recognition in 2006 and was later named to the NFL's 2000s All-Decade Team.

Drafted sixth overall out of North Carolina State in 1999, Holt's 52 receptions for 788 yards and six touchdowns in his rookie season made an instant impact. He tallied seven catches for 109 yards and one touchdown in St. Louis' 23-16 victory over the Tennessee Titans in Super Bowl XXXIV that season.

Now that the 20 total finalists – 15 modern-era candidates, three seniors, one coach and one contributor – have been announced, they will be voted on in January. The Pro Football Hall of Fame's class of 2026 will be announced at NFL Honors in San Francisco in February, then enshrined in Canton, Ohio, in August.
