Daily Dose: Okoronkwo Named Rams' Top Value Pick, Biggest Post-Draft Questions

This offseason, theRams.com will be taking a look around the internet for the top Rams headlines of the day. Here's a look at what's out there for Tuesday, May 1st about your Los Angeles Rams:

Biggest Post-Draft Questions for all 32 Teams

The NFL Draft is in the books, but not every team was able to address all of its biggest needs through the annual offseason event. With that in mind, ESPN’s team of NFL Nation reporters is looking at the remaining questions each club faces that could linger into the season.

Here is what they had to say about the NFC West:

Arizona Cardinals: "Who will be the Cardinals' cornerback opposite Patrick Peterson?"

San Francisco 49ers: "Do the 49ers have enough on defense to contend in 2018?"

Seattle Seahawks:* "Did the Seahawks do enough this offseason to improve their offensive line?"*

Los Angeles Rams: "How will the Rams fill up their linebacker spots?"

Robert Quinn was traded to the Dolphins, Alec Ogletree was dealt to the New York Giants and Connor Barwin remains an unsigned free agent. That's three of four starting linebacker spots that will be different in 2018. Prior to the draft, the Rams had Cory Littleton, Ramik Wilson and Bryce Hager for inside linebacker alongside Mark Barron. But they also drafted Micah Kiser (Virginia) and Travin Howard (TCU). Samson Ebukam and Matt Longacre are favorites to start at outside linebacker, but they also drafted Ogbonnia Okoronkwo (Oklahoma) and Trevon Young (Rutgers). Look for all three of these spots to be an open competition heading into training camp. — Alden Gonzalez

NFL Draft Steals: Most Promising Value Picks of 2018

First-round draft picks tend to get all the attention and glory throughout the NFL Draft process. But as crucial as those high rookie investments may be, history has shown us that what most often sets teams apart are the breakout players found in Days 2 and 3.

And although it is difficult to define value picks before any have even hit the field, USA Today’s Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz has narrowed the long list down to a few players taken over the weekend, who already appear to offer value well beyond where they were selected.

The Rams newest outside linebacker Ogbonnia Okoronkwo is one such player.

"Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, LB, Rams (fifth round, No. 160): Los Angeles' draft capital amounted to spare change after a series of trades that turned up the wattage on the team's star power. Yet their depleted edge rusher rotation found a late-round pick-me-up in Okoronkwo, Oklahoma's fluid threat who was likely overlooked by many due to his height (6-1)."
