Give Me 5: Top 5 Aaron Donald Plays of 2018

As the Rams exit their bye week, it's time to check out some of the team's top plays from the first 11 weeks of the NFL season.

Here are the top five plays from defensive tackle Aaron Donald.

No. 5

Donald showed his quick reflexes against the Saints, when he picked up a fumble caused by outside linebacker Samson Ebukam to give Los Angeles an extra possession deep in New Orleans territory. The Rams couldn't cash in, but that doesn't diminish Donald's play.

No. 4

Donald got to an old teammate in the Rams' 23-20 victory over the Broncos on what was a frigid October day. Donald was initially double teamed on the play, but stayed patient and ended up rushing QB Case Keenum at just the right time to get a sack.

No. 3

Donald had the best game of his career against the Niners back in Week 7, when he racked up 4.0 sacks, six tackles for loss, and five QB hits. Since it's pretty much impossible to pick just one of his sacks from that game, just enjoy all four of them — including one where the DT rushed an offensive lineman into QB C.J. Beathard for a unique-looking sack.

No. 2

Donald often makes big-time plays in big-time situations, and his second sack of the season was no exception. Late in the matchup against the Vikings, Donald came around the corner and spun down QB Kirk Cousins to help end a drive. Donald's sack was especially notable because at the time, so many defenders were being flagged for roughing the passer for landing on the QB with their full body weight.

No. 1

This play almost defies description. Essentially, Donald became a pickpocket, simply swiping the ball away from running back Matt Breida and retaining possession in one crisp motion. Forget play of the year — this might be the best play of Donald's career.
