10 Years in LA: A Message from Rams President Kevin Demoff

Monday will mark the 10th anniversary of our return to Los Angeles on January 12, 2016.

Friday, January 9, 2026

Rams Fans,

Monday will mark the 10th anniversary of our return to Los Angeles on January 12, 2016. It is incredible and humbling to look back at all that has happened during the past decade since we came home to LA. In these 10 years, we have worked to build on the first 50 years we were in Los Angeles, as well as reestablish and strengthen our connection with all of you and communities across the greater Los Angeles area.

I remember vividly our first press conference back on January 15, 2016 at the Forum, with so many of our most avid fans, who had waited more than 20 years for this moment and erupted into cheers as Stan Kroenke said, "This is all about football and the great history of the Los Angeles Rams." It's because of fans like Tom Bateman and his Bring Back the Rams group and the support so many of you continued to show for us throughout the years that inspired us not only to come home but to make sure we do it right.

During our first preseason game at the Coliseum against the Dallas Cowboys in August 2016, the first "Whose House? Rams House" chants broke out organically throughout the crowd. Who knew in that moment that phrase would come to be not only a rallying cry but a mantra for our organization to carry forward, making sure all of Los Angeles became the Rams House.

With you by our side, the Rams House has seen amazing memories over the past decade, from our first win back over the Seattle Seahawks in front of 91,000 fans to our win last week over the Cardinals to close out this regular season. In between there have been memorable playoff wins, epic Monday night shootouts, an NFC Championship win over the team to the north and confetti raining down to celebrate a Lombardi Trophy. I love seeing the reaction to this day from fans when they walk up to SoFi Stadium on the south side and look up and see that Super Bowl LVI banner hanging alongside our Super Bowl XXXIV banner. We are so proud that we brought a championship back to Los Angeles and look forward to the moment when we can add another banner to our collection.

The Rams House has served as a place to bring our city together over the past decade when our community needed it the most. We first felt the power of LA Together on that historic Monday in November 2018 against the Kansas City Chiefs in the aftermath of the shooting at the Borderline Bar and Grill in Thousand Oaks as well as the destructive Woolsey Fire, when we honored victims and their families and first responders throughout the game at the Coliseum. I still get chills when I watch that replay, the emotions of the entire city both heavy and starting the process of healing with each amazing play.

A year ago this week, our city was once again reeling from devastating wildfires when football could provide a respite for weary Angelenos. This time, the Rams House moved to Arizona, filled with royal and sol and inspiring an epic performance by our coaches and players in LAFD gear. As we did in 2018, our organization has once again spent the past year using our platform and resources to contribute to the on-going recovery and rebuilding efforts, and we will continue to be there for this city and those doing this critical work.

The memories of standing on the podium watching Stan Kroenke hold up a Lombardi Trophy under the SoFi Stadium lights is only matched by my pride in watching Andrew Whitworth win Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year a few days prior, recognizing his charitable work in the community. When he accepted the award at YouTube Theater, Andrew delivered a message that it is always the right time to do the right thing, which is something our organization carries forward each day.

Through in-school programs such as PLAY 60 and Rams Readers, we've engaged hundreds of thousands of students over the past 10 years and have built new playgrounds and installed football fields in communities including Inglewood, Watts, South LA and East LA. Annual events such as Taste of the Rams have provided more than five million meals to food insecure Angelenos and have raised $1.5 million for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, and our Rams Night for Wishes benefiting Make-A-Wish has raised more than $4 million to grant wishes for children battling illness. As we look toward the 2028 Summer Olympics here in LA, when flag football will be in the Games for the first time, we are proud to have helped level the playing field for girls by getting girls flag football sanctioned as a high school sport here in California.

This year saw a true home–field advantage at SoFi Stadium, bringing record crowds and a 7-1 mark, tied for our best home record in the past decade. Thank you to our fans and Season Ticket Members for filling the Rams House with deafening cheers to help us get that stop on third down, singing along with our Mariachi Rams, and high fiving each other after another touchdown from the number one offense in the NFL.

From seeing fans stream into Training Camp to tailgating with our Booster Clubs to our Draft parties downtown and at the beach to an epic Super Bowl celebration at the Coliseum, the smiles and the cheers of Rams fans inspire us to be at our best each day. We could not have imagined during that first Friday afternoon at the Forum the memories that would come in our first decade home, and we can't wait for this weekend to start a playoff run and the beginning of our next decade together.

No matter how this season ends, the past 10 years have been marked by winning football, an indelible impact on our community, and lifelong memories with all of you. Thank you for this journey and helping build the Rams House. Here's to the next 10 seasons of memories and many more after that.

Go Rams!

Kevin
