Rams sign RB Kyren Williams to three-year contract extension

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. - The Rams on Tuesday signed running back Kyren Williams to a three-year contract extension, keeping him under contract through 2028.

Williams, 24, is coming off his second-straight season with with at least 1,100 rushing yards and double-digit rushing touchdowns. He posted 316 carries for 1,299 yards and 14 rushing touchdowns in 2024, all career-highs.

His 14 rushing touchdowns last season made him the sixth Rams to reach that mark in a season and first since Todd Gurley in 2018. Additionally, Williams joined Marshall Faulk (18 in 2000) and Todd Gurley (17 in 2018) as the only Rams players since 2000 to record 14 rushing touchdowns in a season. His 56 rushing yards against the Cardinals in Week 17 marked his 14th-consecutive game with at least 50, tied for the second-longest streak in a single season in franchise history. Eric Dickerson achieved the feat in all 16 games of the 1986 season, while Steven Jackson did so in the first 14 games of the 2010 season.

The former Notre Dame standout has registered 579 carries for 2,582 rushing yards and 26 rushing touchdowns through his first three seasons. He originally joined the Rams as a fifth-round pick (164th overall) in the 2022 NFL Draft.
