Rams sign kicker Harrison Mevis to practice squad, sign Ronnie Rivers to active roster

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. – The Rams have signed second-year kicker Harrison Mevis to the practice squad and signed running back Ronnie Rivers to the active roster.

Mevis went undrafted out of Missouri in 2024 before signing with the Panthers' practice squad, then played for the UFL's Birmingham Stallions in 2025, where he made 21 of his 23 field goal attempts (91.3%) with a long of 56 yards; both misses came from over 50 yards. Most recently, the 5-foot-11, 243-pound kicker was signed to the Jets' 90-man offseason roster in early June of 2025, but was cut in August.

Mevis has never attempted a kick in the NFL, but has professional experience due to his 11 games played in the UFL (including postseason). He and Joshua Karty are now the two kickers on the Rams' roster (active and practice squad).

In four seasons with the Rams, Rivers has played in 36 games, primarily contributing on special teams. He's carried the ball 63 times for 249 yards and caught 15 passes for 85 yards. He is one of four running backs on the Rams' active roster along with Kyren Williams, Blake Corum and Jarquez Hunter.
