Rams Waive Five Players After Draft

After drafting eight players and agreeing to terms with 11 undrafted free agents, the Los Angeles Rams made moves to free up roster space for camp.

The Rams waived guard David Arkin on Monday, and defensive back Jerome Couplin, long snapper Andrew East, running back Brandon Wegher, and tight end Bryce Williams on Wednesday.

Players Waived:
G - David Arkin
DB - Jerome Couplin
LS - Andrew East
RB - Brandon Wegher
TE - Bryce Williams

Arkin had been with the club since 2015, spending a majority of the time on the practice squad. He was selected in fourth round of the 2011 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys.

Couplin was signed to the Rams practice squad in December of 2016. He signed a reserve/future contract with the Rams in January. He went undrafted in the 2014 NFL Draft.

East was a 2015 undrafted free agent who was previously with the Chiefs, Seahawks and Raiders. He signed with the Rams in March.

Wegher was signed to the Rams practice squad in December of 2016. He signed a reserve/future contract with the Rams in January. He went undrafted in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Williams spend the entire 2016 season on the Rams practice squad. He went undrafted in the 2016 NFL Draft and was first signed by the Patriots.
