He estimates he's seen the play "4,000 or 5,000 times, easy," and gets reminded about it "all the time."

"The play" would be the pass interference non-call in January's NFC championship game against the Saints.

Having the chance to briefly reflect on it this offseason, now all Rams CB Nickell Robey-Coleman wants to do is move on.

"I had my time with it this offseason, thought about it a little bit, (then) just moved on from there," Robey-Coleman said. "It's been a good offseason, so ready to start off a new season and become 2-0."

To his credit, Robey-Coleman has – at least twice now – admitted on the record it wasn't the correct call. The aftermath of the play included the NFL introducing a new replay rule which allows coaches to challenge offensive and defensive pass interference calls as well as non-calls.

Rams head coach Sean McVay said he hasn't had to sit down with Robey-Coleman one-on-one to discuss the play, what came from it or how to handle it, but they've talked about it as a team.

"We all know what it looked like. Obviously, nobody's going to sit here and say that wasn't a pass-interference," McVay said. "That's why it led to some rules being changed. Even though that play benefitted our team, nobody wants anything but a fair game. Those clear and obvious plays that we can avoid, we want to be able to do that, and that's exactly how we feel as a team, too."

The Saints return most of the same personnel from last year's team and rank second in the NFL in total offense after putting up 510 yards against the Houston Texans on Monday Night Football. Robey-Coleman eagerly awaits the chance to face QB Drew Brees, RB Alvin Kamara, WR Michael Thomas and the rest of New Orleans' offense.

"It's going to be an exciting game, man," Robey-Coleman said. "I'm looking forward to playing those guys again. They're a great team, they've got a lot of great weapons. Obviously, they are the same team as what they were last year. Still got that motor. They're hungry and you can feel it. I'm just trying to come out there Sunday and make sure I'm prepared. Be with my team, and have my boys carry me."

By Sunday, both teams will be nearly eight months removed from the moment – enough time to move on to this season.

"New season, new start," Robey-Coleman said. "Just trying to focus on this new season and being 2-0."
