Between now and the July 22 training camp report date at Loyola Marymount University for rookies and veterans, theRams.com will be taking an updated look at positions on the team's roster.
The series continues with a refresher on the defensive line.

Key offseason moves
- Signed veteran DT Poona Ford to a three-year deal. The Rams had a need at the position with the loss of Bobby Brown III in free agency, and they added one of the best run-stoppers available in free agency this year. He's also shown the coaches more as a pass-rusher than they initially expected.
- Selected Ohio State DT Ty Hamilton in the fifth round in this year's draft. Los Angeles also had to replace Neville Gallimore on the interior, so addressing that part of the defensive line further in the draft made sense. According to Pro Football Focus, Hamilton ranked eighth in run stop rate among interior defensive linemen drafted in 2025.

What's next
Building on the success of last season, particularly from a pass rush standpoint, and getting Ford comfortable. Things began to click for this group as they learned how to rush and play off of one another, and understood when those opportunities were. Ford's assimilation will be especially important as the group looks to improve on some of the shortcomings of last year's run defense.
