The Daily Dose: Kupp Among Top Rookie Receivers, 2018 Senior Bowl Standouts

This offseason, theRams.com will be taking a look around the internet for the top Rams headlines of the day. Here's a look at what's out there for Monday, Jan. 29th about your Los Angeles Rams:

Kupp's 2017 Campaign Worthy of AP Offensive Rookie of the Year:

In the wake of SUper Bowl LII this weekend, ESPN.com writer Alden Gonzalez is taking a look at several Rams candidates who will be up for yearly awards handed out by the Associated Press. The awards will be unveiled during the NFL Honors show, Saturday on NBC.

First up for the week is wide receiver Cooper Kupp, who Gonzalez says is worthy of consideration for the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year Award.

Numbers:

"Kupp was among several Rams starters who sat out the regular-season finale, but he still ranked fourth among rookies in catches (62), second in receiving yards (869) and tied for fourth in receiving touchdowns (5)."

Why he should win:

"Kupp was a rookie third-round pick out of little-known Eastern Washington, playing on an upstart team that wound up leading the NFL in points -- and outside of Todd Gurley, he might have been their most productive offensive weapon. Kupp led the Rams in receiving yards while playing mostly out of the slot."
