Was a team captain for a Horned Frogs team that competed in the College Football National Championship and the anchor of an offensive line that paved the way for one of the nation's most prolific offenses.
Avila's senior campaign at TCU in 2022 made him the school's first consensus All-American since wide receiver Josh Doctson in 2015. Started all 15 games at left guard and didn't allow a sack for back-to-back seasons.
