Meet Alec

Alec Spivack is the Senior Director of Partnership Strategy for the Rams. She's known for her creative problem-solving — taking tough challenges and turning them into opportunities. Alec's work blends numbers, creativity, and people skills to help the Rams build meaningful connections with their partners and fans. In simple terms, her team takes a lot of complicated data and turns it into clear stories and strategies that show companies how working with the Rams can make an impact.

Path After High School

After high school, Alec went to Brandeis University in Massachusetts, where she played soccer for five seasons and was captain for three. In her senior year, she was "redshirted," which means sitting out a season due to injury while keeping eligibility to play later. Instead of letting that setback stop her, she took the spring off to intern full-time with the Boston Celtics' Partnerships team. That hands-on experience gave her a head start and ultimately led to her first job in sports.

Career Curveball

Being sidelined during her senior year was tough. Alec admits she almost blew her chance to redshirt by being impatient. But taking that pause turned out to be the best decision she could have made. The internship with the Celtics while rehabbing not only gave her valuable experience but also helped her land her first full-time role in professional sports.

STEAM in Action

Alec's job is a perfect example of STEAM at work:

  • Science: Studying human (fan) behavior and applying processes to understand brand impact.
  • Technology: Using technology tools platforms like Salesforce to track and share data.
  • Engineering: Designing efficient processes for reporting and teamwork.
  • Arts: Turning data into stories and creating campaigns (slogans, advertising, events, etc.) that align with the Rams brand.
  • Math: Estimating revenue, and building "dashboards," which are ways to show data visually, to measure success.

Fuel for Success

Alec believes success comes from curiosity and the people around you. She says to surround yourself with those who ask good questions, give honest feedback, and push you to grow. With the right people, you'll feel safe to take risks, stay curious, and keep learning.

The Best Part of Alec's Job

For Alec, the best part is the people. She says the Rams' culture is different — driven by a shared passion to do things better and differently, from top to bottom.

Alec's Advice for Students

Be curious. Ask questions. And choose to work with people who inspire you and make you better. Alec says the right people will help you thrive, give you the courage to speak up, and remind you to keep learning.
