Meet Cam

Cam Gray is the Director of IT Infrastructure and Security for the Rams. His job is to keep the stadium's technology running smoothly and to protect the team from hackers. From networks and servers to teaching staff how to spot fake emails, Cam makes sure technology works safely and securely every single day.

Path After High School

After high school, Cam went to college, where he learned how to manage his time, grow as a person, and build the skills that led to his first job in IT. Later in his career, he discovered that certifications in information technology can be just as valuable, and sometimes more practical, than a college degree.

His big career twist came when he raised his hand to help with cybersecurity for the Super Bowl. That opportunity shifted him from servers into security and eventually led him to lead both IT and security for the Rams today.

STEAM in Action

SoFi Stadium is the most technologically advanced stadium in the world, so Cam uses STEAM in his work every day.

  • Technology: Using servers, networks, and cybersecurity tools to keep things running and protected
  • Engineering: Building and maintaining the technology systems that handle thousands of fans and events
  • Math: Analyzing data and patterns to stop security threats and keep the stadium efficient

Day in the Life of Cam's Job

No two days are the same. One day Cam might be setting up secure networks for a Rams home game, the next day he's preparing cybersecurity defenses for a concert. He balances behind-the-scenes tech work with training other employees in the organization so they know how to stay safe online.

Behind the Scenes

Cam says cybersecurity is less about computers than most people think. The biggest threats come from tricking people — with fake emails, calls, or messages. That's why teaching people how to recognize and avoid scams is one of the most important parts of his job.

The Best Part of Cam's Job

Cam has been a football fan his whole life, so being close to the action is a dream come true. He also gets to see concerts and other events he never imagined he'd attend if it weren't for his job.

Cam's Advice for Students

There are many paths into IT and security, but motivation and work ethic matter most. Cam says, "I can teach anyone the skills they need for this job, but you have to want it and be willing to put in the effort."
