Passion for Fashion: Cobie Durant wants to build clothing line beyond 'Landshark' merchandise, show his distinct style

Cobie Durant donned Rams-colored Jordan 1s for Week 1 of the 2024 season. In Week 2, he wore white and red Jordan 2s. Week 3, he rolled up in white Jordan 3s.

You get the picture.

Whatever number game the Rams were playing, Durant wore the corresponding Jordans. It was a subtle pattern that only a massive Rams fan who's also a sneakerhead could notice. But to Durant, it was an expression of his lifelong love of Jordan shoes and passion for fashion.

All of Cobie Durant's pregame outfits from the 2024 season, featuring Jordans that match each week's game number.

"Every time a new pair of Jordans come out, I buy it," Durant told theRams.com. "And I've always been like that, even when I was young, my mom kept me in Jordans."

Now that Durant is a successful cornerback in the NFL, nicknamed "Landshark", he wants to grow his fashion merchandise on Millions.co. As of now, it only features a few items of "Landshark" clothing, but he wants to expand that to offer items that reflect his distinct style.

"I'm actually going to really take the time to actually get into it (this year) and make it something for the fans," Durant said. "I got a good team at First Round Management that helps me put things together, friends, people that have their own clothing line. Just being able to have those resources where I can handle my job and they can help me outside of that."

Durant's interest in fashion started when he was young, looking up to his older brothers – he always wanted to dress like them. But now, Durant has developed his own personal flair, backed by an NFL paycheck.

Along with his vast collection of Jordans, Durant likes to wear baggy clothes, bringing a sort of 2003 NBA Draft vibe, but with graphic tees and jeans instead of suits.

"I'm trying to bring that back a little bit," Durant said.

He has the resources to sport designer brands and fancy bags, but that's not Durant's style. He frequents places like Gallery Department, which accounts for a large portion of his wardrobe, and Urban Outfitters for their graphic tees.

The pants are where he really likes to stand out. Whether they are baggy, ripped, logo-embossed or a combination, that's where Durant ties the whole outfit together.

"My shirt can be anything, my jeans and my pants, that's what pops," Durant said.

And no outfit is complete without his gold "One 4 Landshark" necklace, tying his off-field flair to his on-field persona. Durant said the nickname came to be in college based on his love of "Shark Week" and partially inspired by the 2016 thriller "The Shallows" where a woman is stuck on an island trying to escape a shark.

"When receivers come out there on the island, are you gonna survive or are you gonna get eaten?" Durant said.

Naturally, Durant creates his game day 'fits from the bottom up. The shoes come first, then he pairs those with socks and pants, followed by a graphic t-shirt or hoodie and then a hat or beanie usually tops it all off.

"Now my older brothers (are) like, 'man, let me get that, let me get that,'" Durant said. "So, it's cool."

That's always a full-circle moment. But this year, Durant and his team will work to share his flair with the world, not just his brothers.
