Los Angeles has re-signed safety Isaiah Johnson in advance of the club's meeting with Oakland in Week 1. The club had previously waived Johnson on Wednesday.
Johnson has been with the Rams since 2016 when he signed with the team's practice squad following roster reduction to 53 players. He's bounced between the practice squad and the active roster over the last two seasons, playing in four games.
The Lions initially signed Johnson as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia Tech in 2015. He appeared in six games for Detroit as a rookie.
The Rams now have 53 players on their active roster along with defensive tackle Aaron Donald on a roster exemption.
