Rams 2026 NFL Mock Draft Roundup: Latest projections two weeks out from draft week feature potential trade-back opportunities

Similar to last week, experts have maintained wide receiver and offensive tackle as the position(s) they think the Rams will most likely address at No. 13 overall in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft. Here's a look at those names as of April 6:

The common theme with any projection involving a receiver is Los Angeles adding a short- and long-term impact player, particularly with wide receiver Davante Adams turning 34 in December and entering the final year of the two-year deal he signed with the Rams back in March 2025.

In this mock, Reuter has the Rams trading back from 13 to 17 in a hypothetical deal with the Lions, then drafting Cooper. In mid-February, NFL Network lead draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah tweeted "Looking at my Omar Cooper Jr notes- He's the Ramsiest WR in the draft," and it's not hard to see why with the way analysts rave about his fearless play over the middle, ability to stay grounded through the catch, body control and ability to generate yards after the catch – all things the Rams value in receivers.

The 6-foot, 196-pound receiver started 13 of 15 games for the national champion Hoosiers, leading them in both receptions (69) and receiving yards (937). His 13 receiving touchdowns were also second-most on the team.

"Cooper joins Davante Adams and Puka Nacua to give Matthew Stafford one of the best receiver trios in the league," writes Reuter. "The Indiana product will need to be a star in Year 2 if Adams moves on as a free agent after 2026."

Like Reuter, Davis has the Rams trading down in the first round, this time in a hypothetical trade with the Steelers to move back from 13 to 21.

Analysts praise Boston's movement skills and fluidity for a bigger receiver, as well as his hands, large catch radius and contested-catch ability – all traits NFL teams look for in an 'X' receiver.

"L.A. has been mulling a reimagined receiver room, even coveting Philadelphia's A.J. Brown, per reports, and amid coach Sean McVay's recent admission that incumbent WR2 Davante Adams had been on the trade block," Davis writes. "Puka Nacua's entry into rehab further muddies the picture. Boston (6-4, 212) is the kind of supersized red-zone target (20 TD catches since 2024) and boundary receiver who could provide an easy transition from Adams while perfectly complementing Nacua, who will presumably be ready to go when the season starts."

Especially over the last few weeks, there has been at least one mock draft a week slotting Lemon to the Rams at No. 13 overall.

Lemon measured in at 5-11 1/8 and 192 pounds, but his competitive toughness and physicality praised by analysts allow him to play bigger than his frame. The 2025 Biletnikoff Award winner (nation's most outstanding FBS wide receiver), he led the Power Four conferences in receiving yards (1,156) and yards per game (96.3) on 74 receptions in 12 games and scored 13 total touchdowns.

"The L.A. native stayed home to play at USC and will have a short commute for his family to watch him in the NFL," Feldman writes in part of his analysis. "Sean McVay should have a lot of fun with Lemon, who was by far the best player in the program the past few years. USC defensive coaches thought he would've been the team's best cornerback if he had played on that side of the ball. His instincts, quickness and toughness are that good."

The B/R scouting department still sees adding an offensive tackle like Mauigoa as a way to maximize the Rams' window with Matthew Stafford.

A three-year starter for the Hurricanes, the 6-5 1/2, 329-pound Mauigoa is Jeremiah's No. 10 overall prospect and No. 1 offensive tackle based on Jeremiah's latest Top 50, and No. 11 overall prospect and No. 2 offensive tackle based on preliminary Top 50 compiled by The Athletic's Dane Brugler in early February.

B/R's scouts have the Rams taking Mauigoa to succeed Havenstein, though head coach Sean McVay earlier this offseason said Warren McClendon Jr. had earned the right to do so.

"The Los Angeles Rams understand their window for another Super Bowl with Matthew Stafford at quarterback is closing. Their moves should be done with thought of doing everything possible to make life easier on the 38-year-old reigning MVP," the B/R scouting department wrote. "An investment in keeping the veteran signal-caller upright is the smartest possible decision. Miami's Francis Mauigoa can immediately replace Rob Havenstein, who chose to retire earlier this offseason."
